Published on July 13, 2005 By msladydeath In Diet
Alrighty, I'm starting a new "diet". Ok, So actually it's a diet pill so I don't think it really counts as a diet.

Day 1 Starting Weight.... 226. pant size is Mens 40 (I don't where womens jeans, I don't find them comfortable or flattering, I have an odd frame)

So my diet pill of choise is called Equitrim and since I can find nothing about it on the net, I'll post what I can about it for other that may be intrested. Then if any doctors have oppinions on this, or anyone else for that matter, it can be posted here, and people considering this can see them and make a more educated desision than I did.

That's actually about all the info I have about it.

So like I said, i just started it today, in my opinion, the tablet makes the water taste horrible, so I drank it as fast as I could and chased it with another bottle of water *L* I haven't felt tired or anything today, I have felt just fine, no headaches, tummy aches, abnormal strange things anywhere. I would say I was sweating a little more than normal, but I was also working harder than normal so that's not unusuall either.

I will post as often as I can about my progress, wish me luck! And yes, I'm going to chat with my doctor about this soon.

I also had no side effects. If I forget to take it in the morning, I feel slow, like a normal day before I ever took this pill, when I take this pill I feel very good, energized.

I just received the EquiTrim mailer and luckily I went online before ordering. Thanks to your posting, I will not be ordering it. I do have a comment on weight loss though. I tried the Michael Thurmond 6 week body makeover. Granted, I only did it faithfully for one week and then half heartedly for the next few weeks. I did lose 10 pounds and a few inches. The diet makes sense. It's just hard to eat chicken everyday (at least that's what my body type eats). Anyway, if you have $150 to spare, it's a good plan and you see results rather quickly (first couple of days).

i,m sitting here reading the same article I read yesterday, only yestersday the person was a male and today she's a female...same comments same opinion...so who are you and why is there nothing on the net about this "wonderpill"?

I am the author of this blog, have been for the life of this particular blog, and I wrote this particular artical on my blog because I couldn't find anything about it on the net either, hense all the extra information about the company and the ads so that people considering purchasing this product can have a little information before they make a desition to buy this pill or not. In my personal opinion, it's just another water pill sham and nothing more. And I was unaware of a male making the same thing I did. I don't know why the same comments would be on both, can't help ya there.

I also had no side effects. If I forget to take it in the morning, I feel slow, like a normal day before I ever took this pill, when I take this pill I feel very good, energized.

Don't know what pills your thinking of, with Equitrim you only take ONE pill every FIVE days, definatally NOT every morning! Don't think we are talking about the same thing here.

I'm glad I could help you make an informed choice. I don't know anything about those other methods.

I tried the Maggie Drowzd diet. Did not work for me, I'm guessing it does depend on person's metabolism. Equitrim....Thanks to those that post their experience. Definetly not wasting my time and efforts. Just going to have a well balanced diet, no more eating out and making work an excuse.

Does anyone know of anything that really works....I mean I have tried dieting and excercising but it just doesnt seem to work for me

Weight Watchers (really following it, not kidding yourself thinking that you are following it) and moderate exercise.  I have lost 9 pounds in 4 weeks.  Considering that I have *many* health problems that make it hard for me to lose weight (including having my thyroid removed) I can say that it honestly worked.

I kidded myself in the past saying that "diet and exercise doesn't work".  But, it's all calories in versus calories burned- there's no magic to it.  You just have to make the lifestyle change- no pill is going to do that for you.

Everybody wants a quick fix- it ain't gonna happen.  You didn't gain the weight overnight- and you won't lose it overnight either.  You have to CHANGE your lifestyle permanently to lose weight and keep it off.

I wish I had the money to do Weight Watchers, I have always wanted to try their program. Glad it works for you KarmaGirl. Like I said before, I think I'm going to try the Slim Fast plan again.

I am one of those that can say Diet and Exercise don't work well for me, but I have also proved it. 8 weeks of basic training on a strictly monitored diet and ultra vigurous exersise rutine and I actually gained 4 lbs, (difference between fat and muscle) but lost no inches from anywhere on my body. After 12 weeks, there was no difference exept that I could run 2 miles in 14 min 14 seconds.

I know my biggest vice in my Dr. Pepper "addiction" and smoking. Both of which I need to quit, and for the best results, I need to get help from my doctor. I also know I need to get out of the house more. I know that there is no magic pill, but it don't diminish the hope that there still may be one, someday. It's not a fact based hope, it's just wishfull thinking, a hope that all the work I do in a day may be enough to help me loose the weight, all the stairs, lifting, hauling, chaising, and such.

Oh well, just have to work harder I guess *L*.

SlimFast will end up costing you as much as Weight Watchers after you figure in the cost of the shakes and all that.  The main thing with Weight Watchers is accountability and support- you can't get that with a meal replacement shake.

A lot of people gain weight in basic training, or with any new vigorous exercise.  A lot of it is a combination of gained muscle and retained water.

One thing that is nice about WW is that it teaches you how to eat and how to modify how you live.  There is also nobody in my meeting (which is quite large) that has not lost weight when they followed the plan.

There is another option that give support and isn't too expensive: eDiets.  They have personality profiling that sets up a diet plan that is right for your style.  They have online chat groups for support, and ways to contact their counselors if you run into road blocks.  I think that it's less than $15 a month for it.

KarmaGirl

Thanks for that information! My mom is trying to track down a diet from the late 80's. I think it was called the Airforce diet or something like that. Point is, it worked and she felt most of the time that she couldn't actually eat all the food you were supposed to eat, and it was well balanced, depending on a lot of vegies.

Thanks again

Hi, just found this on the web. However, found it too late, my 20.00 went off for the Equitrim last week. I am in same boat as you and was hoping I found something that would help. Unfortuneately I spent $$ again with probably no results. Did you ever continue the entire 20 days? Just curious. Amazing how there is NOTHING on the Web about this. Someone is making a killing. lol Thanks for all your information tho.

Wow! So it's true?! Nothing works! I have tries the Maggie diet, but I had no luck. But I alsio did not follow the book either. I found it hard to follow, eating all the food groups apart. I like to mix mine. For example a grilled cheese. If anybody has any advice for me I would love it! THANY YOU!

MSLADYDEATH DON'T KNOW WHY YOU CALL YOURSELF THAT, ANYHOW I AM WAITING WITH BADED BREATH FOR ANY KIND OF WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT OR DISCOURAGEMENT FOR THIS PRODUCT EQUITRIM
on Sep 02, 2005
Betty J, If you would read through the comments, you will see that I don't feel that the product works and that it is a bunch of overhyped water pills. I strongly suggest not to buy the product.

As for why I call myself MsLadyDeath, it's a long story, but basically it was a nickname that stuck with me and I have found myself comfortable with.
