Published on July 13, 2005 By msladydeath In Diet
Alrighty, I'm starting a new "diet". Ok, So actually it's a diet pill so I don't think it really counts as a diet.

Day 1 Starting Weight.... 226. pant size is Mens 40 (I don't where womens jeans, I don't find them comfortable or flattering, I have an odd frame)

So my diet pill of choise is called Equitrim and since I can find nothing about it on the net, I'll post what I can about it for other that may be intrested. Then if any doctors have oppinions on this, or anyone else for that matter, it can be posted here, and people considering this can see them and make a more educated desision than I did.

That's actually about all the info I have about it.

So like I said, i just started it today, in my opinion, the tablet makes the water taste horrible, so I drank it as fast as I could and chased it with another bottle of water *L* I haven't felt tired or anything today, I have felt just fine, no headaches, tummy aches, abnormal strange things anywhere. I would say I was sweating a little more than normal, but I was also working harder than normal so that's not unusuall either.

I will post as often as I can about my progress, wish me luck! And yes, I'm going to chat with my doctor about this soon.

Wishful, No I didn't finish the last 2 pills, I'm planing to do so this fall, just out of curiosity. I only lost 6 lbs because I switched scales. The one scale was wrong, my starting weight was lower than I though. I can't wait to hear how it works for you!

Currently, for those intrested, I am walking with a friend of mine every night. We just walk till we tire at as quick of a pace as we can walk. Basically, fast enough that we have some problems talking, but we can still talk. We are going to add weights to the walks soon. I'll do a new artical about it, with instructions on how to make the weights we will be using. I'm really intrested in hearing about other weight loss storys on the new Artical, and I will post a link to it on this one.

I too have sent my money off for EquiTrim too late. Has anyone tried the Super Drain Formula? I would be interested in hearing about results.

My sister is in the Airforce and she was put on the "airforce diet" to meet her weight for a weigh in and I decided that I was going to do it too. It does work but as soon as you stop doing it you quickly gain the weight back. I am going to a doctor for weight loss and he prescribes you a pill called "fastin" its a brand name of phentermine. Its just basically an appetite suppressant. I started at 199 and a month and a half later I am 182. So it does work. YOur supposed to watch what you eat and excercise regularly but I haven't been and I am still losing. If I would do what I am supposed to I would be under 180. My mom is also doing it and in 3 months she has lost 34 pounds. I recommend going to your family doctor and asking about it. Again, its called Fastin. My family doctor wouldn't give me that (he offered other brands) so I just went to my moms doctor. The pills are only $29 a month. YOu take them for 3 months then take a break and go back on them. I am very happy.

I had also ordered EQUITRIM before finding your comments. I waited forever to get the pills, but just received them yesterday. I'm going to give it a shot, and I'll come back with info after the 4 th pill if that helps anyone. Funny how there's no info online about this product. Good luck to you.

I have a couple of comments. 1st one is about Equitrim. I just got it and took my first pill on Tuesday. I got on the scale today and truly, I've lost 4 lbs. I know this it correct because I use the same scale every time. I always only weigh myself in the mornings when I wake up and with no clothes on. That way I can always have the same variables. And I haven't exercised or anything in the past week. I will take my second pill on Sunday and I promise to give an update!

My second comment is, I can't believe I even tried this. I did it out of curiosity. I really don't need to lose much, but I was thinking, "hey, 5 lbs would be great!" I however have lost 25 lbs a couple of years ago and I've managed to keep it off, but this last 5 keeps fluctuating!! What happened was in October of 2003 my brother got married. I saw myself in the pics and was like, "Ewwww!" So, I began walking a lot. The only things I changed in my diet are this, I went from coke to diet coke. I started drinking butt loads of water while at work. I probably get close to the recommended 64 ozs. And I switched from white bread to wheat. That's it. With those simple changes, I lost the 25 lbs. Now, my walking turned into jogging and I was doing it 4 nights a week for 35 mins. That did the job. Now I'm basically just maintaining it by walking and I only do it like 2 nights a week for 30 mins. So, I say this to encourage those of you who want to keep trying other remedies. Truly soft drinks contain so much sugar. Just taking that out of your diet is a huge help. And if you could just walk, if you have a dog, walk your dog. If you have kids, walk with them just for like 20 minutes. It sucks to make yourself do it, getting a partner HELPS! That's another thing. I have done all this walking with friends. If my friends are not available, I never do it. I'm just not that diligent and I really rely on them for support.

Anyway, that was just some insight I wanted to share. I don't think I should be doing this stupid Equitrim, in fact, I'm not telling anybody b/c I'm embarrassed because I know better! But, I'll still finish it off just to see if it works. I'll let you know!

I just typed a long message and lost it! AGHH! I left my Equitrim at work so I couldn't drink it yesterday. I just got through drinking the yucky stuff! Remember I said I keep fluctuating with this 5 lbs? Well, I got on the scale this morning and I have kept thost 5 lbs off. (And I didn't exercise last week or over the weekend.) But, I never go under this #. So, if I lose 5 more, it will be due to the Equitrim. I will let you know in a couple of days!

MSLADYDEATH, How are you doing with the walking? Since I joined this post, nobody's written anything....

I also bought this product and have been trying to find out something about the side effects of the incredients. I have two health problems. Stents in my heart and ulcerative colitis so I want to know if this will affect either condition. I only have about 20 lbs. to lose. I need to lose it for my health.

Since this was posted in July, I would be curious to know if it worked and what, if any, side effects you had.

Hey Patty,

I would not waste your time, especially because of your heart problems! I thought it was working because at first I lost 5 lbs, but I truly think that was water weight. I took 2 more and therefore, due to their claim, I should have lost 10 more lbs! Did I? NOOOOOO! I've put that 5 lbs back on and I followed their instructions to the letter. Do you have time to walk 30 mins. a day? Because I lost 20 lbs by walking and jogging. While, the jogging part is not necessary. Simply walking is even better for you than jogging, so I would reccomend that!

Hope that helps!

Patty, I would have to agree with NiesyJean on that. Not worth it, especially if you have health problems like you heart. I have been walking, had to take a couple weeks off because I was brutally sick but we are getting our pattern back now so I'll be updating that thread next week.

Good luck with whatever you choose.

WHAT ARE THE CLINICAL SIDE EFFECT OF EQUITRIM
on Oct 29, 2005
I TRIED THE MAGGIE ORWHAT DO YOU CALL IT. IT DID NOT WORK A BIT NOT EVEN ONE POUND. I TRIED JENNIE CRAIG LOST 20 POUNDS BUT GAINED IT BACK WHEN I STOPPED EATING THEIR FOOD. THE ONLY THING THAT I KNOW REALLY WORK IS DEIT AND EXERCISE
on Oct 29, 2005
I ALSO THINK THAT HAVING A PATNER FOR EITHER WALKING OR GYM IS IMPORTANT BECAUSE YOU HAVE SOMEONE TO ENCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER. I BELIEVE WITH EXCERCISE AND LOW CALORIE INTAKE WE CAN DO IT///
on Oct 29, 2005
I really don't know what any side effects there could be, there is no information on the net about it exept what is here, on this blog. I do not make this product, I do NOT endorse this product, I simply wrote about my experiances with the product and all of the information I have about it from a flyer they sent me.
